Story
Hi there!
This year I'm running in the San Francisco Marathon for a cause that’s close to my heart. I ran this event last year for a similar cause and am doing so alongside some friends.
A Better Way is a nonprofit that provides critical services to Bay Area children, youth, and families in need:
Mental health services
- Family preservation and reunification
- Parent advocacy and mentorship
- Foster care and adoption support
- Parenting and Fatherhood classes
- They work every day to ensure that every child and youth has a safe, loving, and stable environment to grow and thrive.

A Better Way Inc.
A Better Way is a San Francisco Bay Area 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides the highest quality services to children in - or at risk of entering - foster care, and their families, with the goal of establishing loving and lasting relationships.
We provide services free of charge including mental health care for children, foster care/adoption services, parent advocacy and family strengthening, as well as no-fee classes for parents (birth or foster) and professionals in the child welfare field.
Our mission: A Better Way empowers children and families to develop the insights, life skills, and permanent relationships that promote their social, emotional, educational and economic well-being.
